One of those hangover days.....
Today....
It took me till midday to recover and eventually i decided to go for a walk and take a few photos of the area i live in.
My flat is close to a nun school and during a warm summer evening u can see grandfathers & grandmothers sitting outside their houses on little wooden chairs, letting the time pass.
It was a nice and sunny day, believe it or not, but i was just wearing shorts and a summer sweater.
The area i live in has very nice architecture and it's quite close to the sea too.
So i decided to go down to the promenade to to get a breeze from the sea...and it seemed like everyone had the same idea...so many people where out.
At the promenade surrounded by all those people i got very thoughtful....
I saw a bunch of kids playing and especially two of them caught my attention. They were unique and somehow separated themselves from the crowed. These kids completely forgot the world around them...laughing and crawling on the floor chasing each other.
I realized that kids do everything without thinking about the consequences, hence getting dirty or hurt....we however calculate the consequences (most of the times) and make our decision on the base of the result.
Today i wished i was a kid again....doing what i want to do without calculating the consequences.

....i woke up with a splitting headache ( the consequence of mixing vodka & red wine), because last night i had some friends over for drinks.

Another day on the way of becoming a surgeon.
Hello my friends,
this is reality, this is me.Some of you have never seen me like this...some of you may.
Today i spend 8 hours in surgery...four surgeries...loads of sweating....standing and with no time to eat in between, but i loved it.
The best part about surgery today was impressing my registrar, as for the first time he did let me suture the hernia (przepuklina) at the end. I suppose he expected me to hold the instruments wrong, my hands to shake or me even not to know how to place the sutures....but ehh, ehh, ehhh not with me...i rocked!
I proceeded with the continues stitches and finished with a sweet Aberdeen knot...like it was something i do every day. This might be a small step for you my friends...but it is a big step for me in my jet so long path of becoming a surgeon ;)
The first picture was taken right after....i believe you can sense the tiredness after all those hours, but also the slight smile of success. The second picture i took to give u a small peep into the scrubbing area.
In surgery you get the chance to forget about your private problems...and to step up to your fears.
"Surgeons are control freaks. With a scalpel in your hand, you feel unstoppable. There's no fear, there's no pain. You're ten-feet tall and bulletproof. And then you leave the OR. And all that perfection, all that beautiful control, just falls to crap." M.G
Will keep you posted,
Love Agnes
